Marmara University
Students engineering rockets from the first sketch to the sky. We design, build and fly, and every flight makes the next rocket better.
T-10
ZENIT is 3.04 m of composite airframe, avionics and recovery hardware, all designed and built by students.
T-0
Every subsystem is checked twice. When the motor lights, months of simulation meet reality.
T+4s
Our flight computers stream telemetry to the ground station while the rocket accelerates through the sound barrier region.
Apogee
At apogee, the dual-deployment recovery system brings the rocket safely home, ready to fly again.
Who we are
Falcon Rocket Team brings together Marmara University students from mechanical, electrical-electronics, aeronautical, metallurgical and materials, and computer engineering, as well as management information systems. We have competed in the TEKNOFEST Rocket Competition since 2021, developing every subsystem in-house, from the nose cone, airframe and fins to the flight computer.

Our high-altitude rocket in development for the 10,000 ft category of IREC 2027.
Our next-generation high-altitude rocket, targeting 7,400 m with a new airframe and in-house avionics.

A sounding rocket for the TEKNOFEST 2025 high-altitude category, built to reach 15,000 ft and deploy a scientific payload at apogee.
How we work
Design, analysis, manufacturing and assembly of the nose cone, airframe, fins and internal structures.
Flight computer hardware and software, electronic circuit design, flight control algorithms and interface software.
Securing the support every sub-team needs, tracking the project calendar and representing the team in the industry.
Outreach coordinated with the other sub-teams, sharing our in-house technology on social media.
Track record
We finished 6th in the high-altitude category of the TEKNOFEST Rocket Competition and successfully recovered our rocket by tracking it with telemetry.
Our rocket reached the highest altitude in the high-altitude category and we completed the competition successfully.
In the Underwater Rocket Competition the same year, we finished 4th in the overall ranking and 2nd on points.
We reached the finals of the TEKNOFEST Rocket Competition's high-altitude category, finished 5th and also won an honourable mention.
